CrimeaSOS: situation with tourists in the occupied Crimea after the explosions

3 / 08 / 2023

In the last few months, explosions have become more frequent in Crimea. Such “extreme conditions” scare off some tourists who decided to rest on the peninsula occupied by russia.

According to CrimeaSOS, the number of people on the beaches of Crimea has decreased, but one cannot speak of complete devastation. After the explosion on the bridge over the Kerch Strait, many hotels and other places for recreation significantly reduced their prices, while russians cancelled their reservations en masse.

Since the beginning of the summer of 2023, at least 19 days have passed in Crimea under the sound of explosions, and since July 17 this has been happening almost every day. On August 2, a powerful explosion occurred in the village of Hvardiiske north of Simferopol. There is a military airfield located on the outskirts of the village, which russia uses for attacks on Ukraine.

According to CrimeaSOS analyst Yevhenii Yaroshenko, the explosions taking place in the occupied Crimea finally broke the ideological propaganda machine about the security of the peninsula.

We would like to remind you that during July 19-24, the evacuation of populated areas adjacent to ammunition depots and military training grounds was announced three times in Crimea.
