101 citizens of Ukraine became victims of political persecution in “Hizb ut-Tahrir cases” in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by CrimeaSOS analyst Yevhenii Yaroshenko.

“101 citizens of Ukraine became victims of political persecution in “Hizb ut-Tahrir cases” during the 9 years of occupation of Crimea. Six Crimean Tatars who were detained after the searches in various settlements of Dzhankoi area on January 24, are accused of allegedly “participating in the activities of a terrorist organization””, — said Yevhenii Yaroshenko.

On the morning of January 24, six houses of Crimean Tatars were searched with the participation of FSB officers in the Dzhankoi area of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. After the searches, Leman Zekiriaiev, Osman Abdurazakov (brother of political prisoner Edem Bekirov), Aider Asanov, Refat Seidametov, Khalil Mambetov and Ekrem Krosh (brother of political prisoner Enver Krosh) were detained. The detainees were charged under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the russian federation (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization), and the materials of the criminal proceedings are attached to the “Dzhankoi group of the Hizb ut-Tahrir case”.

The searches began at 4 a.m., according to the testimony of relatives, literature banned in russia was planted on the detainees.

Earlier, CrimeaSOS reported that 95 Ukrainian citizens became victims of political persecution in “Hizb ut-Tahrir cases” in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Reference: “Hizb ut-Tahrir” is an international Islamic political party, which was recognized as a terrorist organization by the decision of the supreme court of the russian federation in 2003, but it legally operates on the territory of Ukraine and most countries of the world. The occupiers sentence to up to 19 years in prison for alleged involvement in “Hizb ut-Tahrir”.
