CrimeaSOS specialists conducted more than 200 events for internally displaced persons in half a year
3 / 07 / 2023CrimeaSOS specialists conducted 223 different events for communities of internally displaced persons from 14 regions of Ukraine in the first half of 2023.
Since the beginning of the year, CrimeaSOS regional coordinators have conducted 123 mobilization activities for internally displaced persons and representatives of host communities to help overcome the challenges faced by internally displaced persons. Coordinators carry out their activities in Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Volyn and Chernivtsi regions.
During the first half of 2023, CrimeaSOS held 9 webinars and an online acceleration program for IDP communities. They were mostly devoted to organizational development, accounting, fundraising and legal issues.
An educational tour “Best practices for providing assistance to the affected population” was also held in the cities of Kyiv and Bila Tserkva.
The purpose of the trip was to acquaint project beneficiaries with the work experience of sustainable organizations that provide assistance to IDPs.
5 exchange visits were organized for organizations and initiatives, where selected teams could go to partner organizations to share experiences and learn.
In addition, CrimeaSOS specialists provided 59 consultations for NGOs, communities and initiatives working with IDPs. They related to the topics of cooperation and networking, work with authorities, legal issues of organizations, organizational development, fundraising, reporting, as well as public coverage of activities.
During the reporting period, CrimeaSOS sent 25 beneficiaries of the project to take individual training courses aimed at improving the institutional development of organizations and initiatives.
The activity was implemented within the framework of the project “Strengthening IDP communities in the central and western regions of Ukraine”, which is implemented with the financial support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Its activities are aimed at communities and IDPs in 14 regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Volyn and Chernivtsi.
