Since June 2022, CrimeaSOS regional coordinators have carried out 550 monitoring visits to collective centres (shelters) for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

In particular, since January 2023, specialists have carried out 134 monitoring missions to territorial communities and shelters in the Volyn, Rivne, Ternopil and Lviv regions. As part of the work of the regional coordinators, 123 measures aimed at overcoming the challenges faced by IDPs were carried out.

Among the needs of IDPs, issues of humanitarian aid, employment and housing remain relevant.

Regional coordinators visit Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Volyn and Chernivtsi regions.

We shall remind you that in 2022, thanks to the support of CrimeaSOS, it was possible to improve living conditions in 67 shelters for the displaced persons.

Last year, almost 200,000 units of humanitarian aid, including hygiene items, furniture, and appliances, were distributed to the shelters.

The project “Strengthening IDP communities in the central and western regions of Ukraine” is implemented with the financial support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Its activities are aimed at communities and immigrants in 14 regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Volyn and Chernivtsi.
