CrimeaSOS: the world should react harshly to the pseudo-elections in the occupied territories

Ukraine and the entire civilized world should react harshly to the pseudo-elections that russia organized in the temporarily occupied territories. Oleksii Tilnenko, head of the board of CrimeaSOS, stated this in a comment to Suspilne.
“Both Ukraine and the entire civilized world should react harshly to this [illegal pseudo-elections in the occupied territories of Ukraine] and introduce personal sanctions accordingly. Of course, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies should record all this so that all people who participated in this do not avoid liability. In particular, those people who ran for office, took office, ensured this so-called election process”, — said Oleksii Tilnenko.
On September 10, 2023, the so-called “Single Voting Day” took place in russia and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This year, the occupiers held pseudo-elections in the occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Fake elections in the occupied territories are the result of the illegal application of the legislation of the aggressor state in the occupied territory. Any results are legally null and void and contradict the norms of Ukrainian and international legislation.
Personal sanctions should be imposed against all those involved in crimes in the temporarily occupied Crimea. We would like to remind you that on September 9, 2023, the European Union introduced sanctions against six people involved in politically motivated persecution in the occupied Crimea.
