After the explosions on the bridge over the Kerch Strait, some hotels in the occupied Crimea received an order from the occupation administration not to let guests outside their territory. CrimeaSOS analyst Yevhenii Yaroshenko talked about this in a comment to 1+1.

“We know that some hotels and boarding houses [in occupied Crimea — ed.] received an order from the occupation administration not to let tourists outside of these recreational zones. As for those who were supposed to leave Crimea today, their stay in hotels is extended due to logistical problems”, — said Yevhenii Yaroshenko.

CrimeaSOS learned that around 5 a.m., some owners of Crimean hotels received an unofficial order not to let guests out of the recreation areas. According to available information, hotel owners were called by the so-called “Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea”. However, there is no official notification on the resources of the occupation institutions and mass media.

Around 3 a.m. on July 17, two explosions occurred on the bridge over the Kerch Strait. According to various sources, both traffic lanes were damaged, and part of them collapsed. The explosion puts unwanted tourists and occupiers in Crimea in a vulnerable position – without the possibility of conveniently leaving the peninsula.
