CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” specialists received 3,215 appeals

During more than a year of work, CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” specialists received 3,215 appeals from people who suffered from the full-scale invasion of russia into the territory of Ukraine.
The appeals to the CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” included requests for obtaining extracts from registers of civil status acts for the restoration of birth, death or marriage certificates. More than 18% of all those who apply for help are currently abroad.
Since February 2023, some foreign diplomatic institutions (DFIs) received additional powers under the conditions of martial law, in particular, they were given the opportunity to renew and cancel acts of civil status.
On July 3, it became known that 14 DFIs in 5 foreign countries received additional powers. From now on, Ukrainians abroad can obtain access to the state registration of civil status acts using a simplified procedure. For more details, see the link.
