CrimeaSOS learned that parents were not allowed to attend school lineups in temporarily occupied Crimea. police and the russian guard officers patrolled school grounds.

Only students of the first and 11th grades took part in the lineups. The rest of children had a so-called “class hour”, namely the “Conversations about the important” lessons. During such “lessons”, students are instilled with “patriotic upbringing, formation of an idea of the cultural and historical unity of the russian people and the importance of its preservation”. It is known, there are no talks about russia’s war against Ukraine at these lessons.

Only parents of first graders were allowed to participate in the school lineups. The occupiers explained that the restrictions were introduced “for security purposes”.

Crimean school grounds were patrolled by the police and the russian guard. According to the available information, this scenario of the school lineups was implemented in most schools of the temporarily occupied Crimea. This may indicate unofficial instructions from the occupation administration.
