CrimeaSOS: the “legal hotline” received 2,128 appeals

CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” specialists received 2,128 appeals. CrimeaSOS lawyer Anastasiia Kalinina reported the following.
“Since April, CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” specialists have received 2,128 requests for help. In autumn, the number of requests for registration of social benefits increased significantly. 86% were requests were connected with receiving a pension by internally displaced persons”, — explained the lawyer.
Despite the termination of all diplomatic relations between russia and Ukraine, a mandatory condition for obtaining a Ukrainian pension by citizens of Ukraine in the occupied Crimea is a certificate of non-receipt of a russian pension. Due to the impossibility of obtaining this certificate, citizens of Ukraine on the peninsula have no opportunity to receive payments. This problem can be solved by the abolition of discriminatory provisions of the Ukrainian legislation.
