Today, all Ukrainians united into one incredible team dedicated to our victory. Everyone has their front. Everyone helps with what they have – video bloggers donate their drones to the needs of the Armed Forces, campers – gas burners, power banks and other camping equipment. Many people send charitable contributions to organizations that, like CrimeaSOS, help those in need. Everyone needs inspiration and this is one of such stories.
From ask for help to a solution – one post from a volunteer
A man from Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, called the CrimeaSOS hotline. He and three other people needed help with the evacuation. Money for gasoline was allocated from the first donations – UAH 2,000 was enough for the group to reach Dnipro.
But finding housing in the city was very difficult. Residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are being evacuated to Dnipro, where there are almost no vacancies. The situation was further complicated by the fact that these four people were taking care of ten cats.
“We considered several options – to find paid boarding for the animals, to resettle people in pairs, just to place them somewhere. However, we could not solve the problem, there was no housing,” says Yuriy, a coordinator from CrimeaSOS”. .
Then we turned for help to a partner organization in Dnipro, which was previously relocated from Mariinka, Donetsk region and provides services for women survivors of domestic violence.
The woman who leads this partner organization took to Facebook asking for help. A guy who for safety reasons goes by the name Green Flute, responded. He helped find housing for our people and their cats. Now they live in Dnipro trying to adapt to their new reality.
This story was made possible by the many people who care, including the supporters of CrimeaSOS. This is why we ask everyone to donate what they can afford to support such good deeds.
