CrimeaSOS experts will hold a series of webinars for lawyers being part of the free legal aid system and lawyers who provide assistance to residents of the occupied territories of Crimea. CrimeaSOS lawyer Anastasiia Kalinina told is about this.
“As a result of the full-scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine, a large number of residents of the occupied Crimea faced the need to protect their rights and freedoms. Currently, we cannot rely on the state alone, so Ukrainian lawyers deal with these issues. CrimeaSOS has prepared a series of webinars to help specialists ensure decent protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories”, — said Anastasiia Kalinina.
The educational initiative is implemented in partnership with the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, lawyer Volodymyr Kistianyk, and the Coordination Centre for Legal Aid Provision.
The series of webinars will start on December 7 on the basis of the PRAVOKATOR.Dnipro legal club platform. In particular, lawyer Anastasiia Kalinina will cover the topics of the legal status of the temporarily occupied territories and the peculiarities of consideration of cases regarding the establishment of legal facts for their residents. Webinars will be held on:
- December 7. Peculiarities of providing legal assistance to residents of temporarily occupied territories
- December 16. Establishing the legal facts of the birth of children in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and in the city of Sevastopol.
- December 21. Documentation of Ukrainian citizens from the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
