3,125 consultations were provided by CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” lawyers during almost a year and a half of work

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, CrimeaSOS “legal hotline” specialists have provided 3,125 legal consultations. Among the requests, there were questions about fixing damage and compensation for destroyed property.
On May 30, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the procedure for providing compensation for destroyed property using the “e-Vidnovlennia” public service. Compensation is provided for repair works that were not carried out by the time the checklist (list) of these works was drawn up. An exception is emergency or urgent conservation work. The amount of payments has been reduced from UAH 500,000 to 200,000.
According to the changes, the recipient of the compensation shall take on a number of obligations. For example, the recipient of compensation is obliged to submit a notification to the authorized bodies within 15 working days after the completion of the works specified in the list. Upon completion, the commission checks the compliance of the use of funds with the list of repair works. The applicant may appeal the decision, actions or inaction of the commission within 5 days.
