Citizens of Ukraine, who were forced to leave abroad due to the aggression of the russian federation, make requests for consultations on receiving services remotely, in particular, confirmation of signatures or seals. On July 10, the State Migration Service of Ukraine announced the introduction of an apostille service on official documents.
In particular, it is possible to put an apostille on documents issued by the State Migration Service, its territorial bodies and subdivisions.
Apostille is a special stamp certifying the validity of signatures, status of persons, seals, which makes these documents valid in all countries participating in the Hague Convention.
In order to receive the service, one needs to provide the following documents:
- statement from the person who submits the documents;
- the original of the document on which the apostille shall be affixed;
- document on payment for the service of affixing an apostille (the cost of the service — three tax-free minimums — UAH 51).
It is worth remembering that an apostille cannot be affixed to the originals of identity documents, documents confirming special status and confirming Ukrainian citizenship. In this case, an apostille is placed on photocopies of documents.
