About CRIMEASOS
CRIMEASOS is an organization dedicated to the reunification of Crimea with Ukraine and providing comprehensive support to individuals and entities affected by the ongoing conflict. We extend assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), organizations, activists, and individuals navigating challenging circumstances. Our services include a hotline for IDPs, legal assistance, and help with socialization and employment for IDPs.

What We Offer

Your Responsibilities
- Organizing and conducting an English book/speaking club: You will lead sessions two to three times a week (2-3 hours each) where participants can improve their English and discuss interesting books. This is a great opportunity to exercise your leadership skills and share knowledge!
- Participation in organizing events and project activities: Join in the planning and implementation of various CrimeaSOS initiatives related to human rights protection, assistance to internally displaced persons, and other important areas of our work.
Our Requirements for the Volunteer
- Energetic and responsible: We are looking for someone who is ready to actively engage in work and approach their duties responsibly.
- Flexible and adaptable: The life of a public organization is dynamic, so it’s important to be ready for various unforeseen circumstances.
- Self-organized and able to manage your time independently: The main activity is leading speaking clubs; other activities are situational, so it’s important to be able to organize your time effectively.
- Up to 10-20 hours of engagement per week: This is an approximate commitment that will allow you to combine the internship with other matters.
- Versatile and extroverted: Your openness to new experiences, broad horizons, and ability to easily find common ground with people are important to us.
- Interest in human rights, volunteering, and Ukraine: A desire to deepen your knowledge in these areas will be a significant plus.
- Fluent in English: This is a key skill for conducting book clubs.
- Ready to work from the office: The internship requires your presence at the CrimeaSOS office in Kyiv.
Provisions
- Free accommodation: For the duration of the internship, we will provide you with a private room in the apartment of one of our team members.
- We provide modest financial assistance to volunteers to help cover their basic needs.
- Workplace: If needed, we will provide you with a laptop and a comfortable workspace in our office.

- Send us your CV (up to 1 A4 page) and a cover letter (up to 0.5 A4 page). In your cover letter, be sure to indicate the period during the summer you are available to join (from one to two and a half months). Send your documents to: hi@krymsos.com. Deadline: While there isn’t a strict deadline, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We will contact applicants throughout June as their CVs and cover letters are received.
