“Thanks to the initiative of the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine we were able to evacuate people and deliver humanitarian aid. UAH 100,000 in financial assistance was directed to fund the “fuel cards” from a network of gas stations. They were distributed to 11 NGOs that are evacuating people and delivering food and other necessities,” says Iryna Datsenko.
This effort covered Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Zakarpattia and Zhytomyr regions with the help of the CrimeaSOS partner organizations.
We expect to continue this important effort. The Canadian Embassy in Ukraine sent another UAH 150,000 in financial assistance to fund this project which will be expanding to other regions in Ukraine.
