CrimeaSOS facilitators received and processed 10,735 appeals from internally displaced persons (IDPs) during 2023. Only in December — 967 appeals. Among the appeals to the facilitators of the NGO “CrimeaSOS”, job requests were common. Men aged 60+ and mothers of young children are actively looking for a job. There are also positive trends in increasing requests for retraining and various courses.
CrimeaSOS facilitators communicate individually with forced migrants and fix the main problems in the fields of legal and social protection, receiving financial assistance, etc. The data is sent to UNHCR project partners for their analysis, processing and further support of IDPs.
During the last month, the largest number of requests came from Zhytomyr, Kyiv and Rivne regions.
CrimeaSOS facilitators currently work in 14 regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Lviv, Rivne, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Volyn, Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk.
The work of facilitators and consultants in the regions is an activity of CrimeaSOS within the project “Strengthening IDP communities in the central and western regions of Ukraine”. The project is implemented with the financial support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
