132 NGOs joined the CrimeaSOS community support project
31 / 01 / 2023132 NGOs and initiative groups joined the CrimeaSOS community support project. This was reported by CrimeaSOS social manager Olha Shkarupa.
“As of January 2023, 132 NGOs and initiative groups joined the CrimeaSOS community support project. They joined the network of organizations that contribute to overcoming the challenges faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs) in war conditions”, — Olha Shkarupa said.
Among the main areas of activity of organizations and initiatives that joined the CrimeaSOS project:
- humanitarian aid to IDPs;
- psychological adaptation of IDPs;
- career guidance for IDPs;
- work with children and youth;
- combating violence and working with women;
- advocacy.
Active communities helping internally displaced persons in one of 14 regions of Ukraine joined the project. 62 of them work in the western regions, 37 — in the northern regions, 33 — in the central ones. NGOs and initiative groups can join the cooperation by filling out an online form.
The CrimeaSOS project “Strengthening IDP communities in the central and western regions of Ukraine” is implemented with the financial support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
