Non-governmental organizations from Free People House invites to spend a few hours of an International Human Rights Day on 10th of December with biggest NGOs that work with IDP issues.
Within the showing and discussion of the documentary film “The Shelter”, an informal chat is planned with representatives of social society, who work with human rights issue. Moreover, everything will be in warm atmosphere with tea, coffee and pizza.

Piercing cold winter is a distinctive feature of Lausanne. And there are many refugees that came to Switzerland from various countries. They are forced to spend their nights on the streets, despite the thick layer of snow on the frozen ground. The local shelter is not provided with the necessary resources and the area to take care of all people in need. Every night before the door of the shelter there is a crowd of people asking to came in. And every day there is the hardest ever challenge in front of the workers: to choose 50 "lucky ones" who will eat hot meal and sleep in warmth. The rest will just have to take the fact that this night will be another long one…
