Mejlis banned in occupied Crimea

«The Supreme Court of Crimea» made a judgement to ban activities of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people.

"The Supreme Court of Crimea" recognized the Mejlis as an extremist organization and banned its activities in the occupied Crimea. The panel of judges, headed by Natalia Terentyeva, delivered judgement at the suit of "prosecutor" of Crimea Natalia Poklonska.

After adjudgement all the participants left the courtroom immediately. Outside the deputy chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelialov gave comments and promised the crowd, that Mejlis members would appeal and seek all possible ways to the European Court, "Argumenty Nedeli Krym" reports.
