Crimea forced to use workers from Siberia

October 09, 2015 18:28 0 1986 QirimInfo
Due to a lack of labor force in Crimea, Siberian workers were sent to gather grapes at state expense.

According to the spokesperson of Massandra Winery, currently workers from Siberia — from Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk — are gathering grapes in one of its vineyards.

Siberian workers were sent to Crimea by Russian state employment exchange and the state paid for their trip to the occupied peninsula. If the Crimean employer has no complaints, the workers will fly home at state expense as well.

Previously the grapes in Crimea were gathered mostly by worked from mainland Crimea.
