"Military Artek" can be created in Crimea, RIA Novosti reported words of the head of the National Association of reserve officers formations of the Armed Forces, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Kanshin.
"We have discussed and learnt this question in our association. Now we intend to suggest the Ministry of Defence to create "military Artek" in Crimea, where children will be trained in summer or year-round. One of sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense can be reconstructed for the children and we can make the camp an international one", — Kanshin said.
Kanshin notes that the project will require a lot of money, but "one cannot save on children". According to him, "first children from the CIS will gather here, and then children from other countries can come, including counries, which are members of NATO".
The camp will be created within movement of young soldiers formed at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
