Russian servicemen can deploy tactical nuclear weapons in occupied Crimea, a military expert, a deputy of Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Tymchuk said on Radio Krym.Realii.
"I do not believe that Russia now can redeploy any systems of intercontinental ballistic missiles, we are talking about tactical nuclear weapons. But it is much easier to redeploy it in such a way, that nobody can identify", – Tymchuk said.
Also, according to him, infrastructure of conventional weapons is actively developing too on the peninsula.
"We see increased development of military infrastructure in Crimea. It means that, if necessary, considerable forces and assets, which will totally change the strength on the peninsula, can be relocated from the territory of the Russian Federation, for example, from Krasnodar region of Southern Military District of Russia to occupied Crimea in a week. And this is indeed a concern", – Tymchuk said.
Previously, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Affairs of Crimean Tatars Mustafa Dzhemilev has repeatedly told about the possibility of deployment of nuclear weapons in Crimea.
