OSCE adopted resolution on Crimea

July 4. The Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly OSCE adopted a resolution which was amended to tighten border control, to give access of international missions to all objects in ORDLO, Crimea and Sevastopol, and to appeal to the member countries to prolong economic and political sanctions against Russia till fulfillment of the international requirements and till the end of the illegal occupation of Crimea. In addition, the Political Committee of the OSCE PA adopted a resolution on the peacemaking operation in Ukraine.


Educational platform Coursera is back to Crimea

July 5. The US government allowed educational platform Coursera to resume its work in Crimea. On February 1st, 2015, Coursera had to go away from the peninsula because of the sanctions imposed after the annexation of Crimea by Russia. This is the first case of a partial cancellation of US sanctions against Russia.


OSCE PA adopted final declaration on human rights in Crimea

July 5. OSCE PA approved the Final Declaration in Tbilisi, and also the Ukrainian resolution on human rights violations in Crimea. 

Declaration demonstrated the isolation of Russian Federation once again.

July 6. They blocked the village for this, so people can not come out and congratulate friends and family on holiday.


Ukrainian government approved February 26 as the Day of Crimean resistance to Russian aggression

July 6. The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft of presidential decree and approved February 26 as the Day of Resistance of Crimeans to Russian aggression. Exactly on February 26, 2014 Crimeans held a rally in Simferopol in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine at the walls of Crimean Parliament.


Representatives of Crimean Tatars met with Polish President

Defendants in «Hizb ut-Tahrir» case to remain in custody for another three months

July 7. "Kyiv district court" of Simferopol extended arrest for three months, until the 11th of October, for four persons involved in the case "Hizb ut-Tahrir" Enver Mamutov, Remzi Memetov, Zevri Abseitov and Rustem Abiltarov. investigation allegedly does not have time to work.

Let’s remind, on May 12th armed Russian security officers conducted searches of Crimean Tatars in occupied Crimea in Bakhchisaraj. After the searches four residents of Bakhchisaraj Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov were detained. Later, they were arrested for 2 months. Russian security forces suspect them of having relation to the banned in Russia organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
