Ukrainian courts have arrested UAH 2bn of property belonging to Crimean judges, reports Sobytiya Kryma citing Ukrainian prosecutor of Crimea Nazar Kholodnitskii.
“As a part of investigative process investigators have arrested 2bn of property owned by suspects,” said Kholodnitskii.
Prosecutor of Crimea noted that the arrested property includes 122 cars and 149 real estate objects located in mainland Ukraine. Ukraine has also arrested UAH 50m of property owned by 144 Crimean prosecutors, while another group 123 workers of prosecutor’s office were handed notes of suspicion.
Ukraine has also arrested 47 cars and 94 real estate objects belonging to Crimean MPs, who are suspected of treason. A significant share of this property is located on the occupied peninsula. Meanwhile investigators are also searching for bank accounts belonging to these MPs in Ukrainian banks and arresting them.
