Yesterday President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the introduction of the National Security Council decision of 16 September 2016 "On application of special personal economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)."
The decision included NSDC list of legal and natural persons to whom the sanctions for a period of one year shall apply. In addition, the list of those who fell under the sanctions has been expanded — in addition to the sanctions list included 335 individuals and 167 entities.
In particular, the sanctions have been imposed against the persons involved in carrying out the so-called "elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation" on territory of annexed Crimea. This applies to the "deputies" and members "of election commissions".
The expanded list includes State Duma deputies from Crimea Konstantin Baharev, Ruslan Balbec, Mikhail Sheremet, member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Committee on Defense and Security, Senator executive of Crimea Olga Kovitidi, members of the Crimean "government" and "parliament".
