The law-enforcement officials allegedly looked for the connections with a certain Enver Memetov, who, according to their information, had left for Syria.

Today, on May 11, the Russian force structures raided the place of Crimean Tatar activist Riza Izetov in the village of Strohanivka. The search lasted from 7 till 9 a.m. Upon the results of the search, the activist was detained and taken to the Center for counteraction to extremism (the «E-Center»). The QirimInfo correspondent reported this.

The activist’s lawyer Edem Semedlyayev followed his client to the «E-Center», but he was informed there that Izetov hadn’t arrived to the Center. The lawyer told about this in a video-appeal on Facebook.

«We practically followed them and saw him having been delivered exactly here. However, they told us he hadn’t been there. The officer-on-duty said he would look for him. So far, we have been standing here for 20 minutes, and they don’t let us in», – Semedlyayev told.

An hour later, Riza Izetov was freed from the building of the «E-Center». According to the activist, the cause for the detention was the criminal case against someone called Enver Memetov. According to the law-enforcement officials,  Memetov left for Syria to fight for the terrorist organization IS.

Important to note, the force structures already searched the place of Tofik Abdulgaziyev on May 4 under the same reason. The Crimean Tatar was also delivered to the «E-Center» back then.
