Vladlen Melnikov, a film director and camera operator from Crimea, has filled with color some black-and-white photos of Crimean landscapes and Crimean Tatars from the first half of 20th century.
“I got interested in colorization. It’s curios what our Qirim look like 100, 75 or 50 years ago in color. I am not trying to belittle the beauty of black-and-white photos,” Melnikov wrote on Facebook.
The photos are from the collection of Nizami Ibraimov.
