Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov was changed to the status of the accused.
The first Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelalov published the corresponding resolution on his Facebook page.
"To bring Umerov Ilmi Rustemovich, born 08.03.1957 in village Akhunbabayev of Tashlak District of Fergensk Region UZ SSR, as an accused in a criminal case number 2016427026, charging him with an offense under Part 2 of Art. 280.1 of the Criminal Code, and to inform him about it", — it is said in the resolution.
The document says that the reason of the decision is that Umerov publicly called for the violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.
"I.R.Umerov made public calls for actions aimed at violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, committed with the use of information and telecommunication networks (including "Internet")”, — it is stated in the document.
Earlier, the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis, the former head of the DGA of Bakhchisaray Ilmi Umerov was released on his own recognizance.
