Leader of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov thinks, that the most effective variant for the de-occupation of Crimea is a diplomatic way, but a military factor must be present. He said this on Monday evening in "Channel 5" broadcast.
"Diplomatic sphere remains the most effective <...> but, in my opinion, some of steps that are being implemented by the international community, already have some moments of self-deception", — Chubarov said.
At the same time, he is convinced that we should not reject completely the military component in the strategy of Crimea returning to Ukraine.
"A military factor can not be rejected simply. We must do our part of the "hometask", and this task is the strengthening of the army", — Chubarov said.
He also believes, that Ukraine should pay more attention to cooperation with the Black Sea basin countries, as these countries — Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Turkey "are under threat in the same manner as Ukraine".
"That is why I welcome discussion of the issues related to the creation of marine units, which could meet the requirements of these countries at the same time. I think, that NATO must be present in the Black Sea. It will keep Russia from the actions, which are unwanted for us", — the Mejlis leader said.
