Forensic psychiatric examination will harm the health of the deputy head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov, Krym.Realii reported citing attorney Mark Feigin.
"He has plenty of diseases associated with the heart and so on. That is, among other things, which we refer to a purely punitive medicine, he is carried out a lot of these proceedings that affect very seriously on his health. And the defense has a reasonable reluctance to participate in such executions", – Feigin said about health problems of his client.
Defense of Umerov will refute the validity of the application of the FSB investigation on the appointment of forensic psychiatric examination. If the court satisfies the prosecution claim, then Ilmi Umerov will be taken to the clinic by force.
"He will be taken, and specialist will talk to him. But he may refuse to talk to him. If you try to force the person to pass this humiliating procedure, and the attitude to it will be the same. That's all they can get from Ilmi Umerov and its defense", – Feigin said.
The court hearing on the appointment of forensic psychiatric examination for Ilmi Umerov scheduled for August 11th in the Russian Kyiv District Court of Simferopol.
Let’s remind, on May 12th criminal case on "extremism" article was initiated against Ilmi Umerov. With the deputy head of the Mejlis also was released on his own recognizance and signed a pledge of secrecy of the case files.
