Russian Federation court extended the detention of all 24 Ukrainian sailors

On April 17, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow left 24 Ukrainian sailors-POWs under arrest until July 24, 2019.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova on Facebook.

Recall, on November 25, 2018, the Russian military seized three Ukrainian naval vessels off the coast of the Crimea – Berdyansk and Nikopol boats, and the Yana Kapu tug, which were heading from Odesa to Mariupol. As a result, 6 Ukrainian sailors were injured. In total 24 military sailors were detained and arrested.
Ukrainian captures sailors were charged under Part 3 of Art. 322 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal border crossing).

All arrested Ukrainian sailors declared themselves prisoners of war.
