The leader of the presidential race of Moldova, chairman of the Party of Socialists, Igor Dodon, on the eve of elections to be held on 30 October, said that Crimea belongs to Russia.
He said this in a TV channel RTR Moldova during a joint meeting with the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu, "The European Pravda" reports.
Answering the question of the leader Anatoly Gaulle, whom belongs to the Crimea to, Dodon said that to the Russian Federation.
The presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu, in turn, said that Moldova can not afford to recognize the change of borders.
"If Moldova recognizes the change of borders anywhere in the world, it means weakening of its own position, and practically the signing of the sentence for our country's statehood. Neither the Crimea, no other place in this world – Moldova can not afford to recognize the change of borders", – he said.
Opinion polls indicate a guaranteed victory in the presidential elections of Dodon in Moldova.
