According to the joint survey conducted by the Fund “Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives” and Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, 77.7% of Ukrainians provided assistance to military personnel in the area of ??ATO or to internally displaced persons from the Donbas and Crimea during the period from May to September. This is stated by Ministry of International Affairs of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
32.5% of Ukrainians admitted to have transferred their money to the accounts of the Ukrainian army. Another 23% of respondents passed money, food and other articles of daily necessity via charity and voluntary organizations.
9% of the population took part in store promotions, buying goods listed as necessary for the army and passing them to the volunteers or putting money into the special boxes.
7% of Ukrainians provide personal assistance with goods and money for the displaced people and 0.8% hosted them. 3% of Ukrainians are engaged into volunteering, that is gathering medicines and goods and shipping them to the hot spots.
The survey was conducted in 110 towns in all regions of Ukraine, except Crimea and Luhansk region, with the increased quota of Donetsk region.
