Today, on June 8, in the course of the 126th session of the court with regard to Akhtem Chiygoz, the interrogation of witness Lenur Abliazimov was resumed. Lawyer Mykola Polozov informed this.
Witness Abliazimov was inside the building of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea on February 26, 2014.
«In the morning he [the witness] was approached by Akhtem Chiygoz, who asked him to watch over the participants of the demonstration so they would keep the public order, and to monitor the situation in order not to let any provocations happen», – Polozov told.
The witness added that Chiygoz had committed no illegal actions.
In the second half of the day, the policemen left the inner yard of the Supreme Council of the ARC, thus having provoked aggression from the side of the pro-Russian protesters, who had started throwing bottles.
«In the course of the cram which lasted for quite a long time, more than an hour, there were attempts to make corridors. At the moments the corridors were created, the cram loosened», – the lawyer informed.
After the interrogation of the witness, the defense petitioned to summon Zaur Smirnov for being interrogated as a witness. He was present at the Medjlis session on February 25, 2014.
The decision with regard to summoning Smirnov will be taken after the break.
