"Court" in Crimea fined another member of Mejlis

Dilyaver Akiev fined for 500 rubles for participation in the meeting of the Mejlis.

In Crimea, Bakhchisarai district "court" fined Mejlis member Dilyaver Akiev. "Court" sentenced him to a fine of 500 rubles for participation in the "prohibited meeting" of Mejlis. The head of the CEC Kurultai of Crimean Tatars  Zair Smedlyaev told it the newspaper «Avdet».

The court hearing on the administrative case of another member of the Mejlis Mustafa Maushev postponed to November 2, due to the illness of the judge.

Previously, "Bakhchisarai district court" found guilty of an administrative violation other Mejlis members and imposed them a penalty. Ilmi Umerov, Shevket Kaybullaev, Sadikhov Tabah, Ali Khamzin, Enver Kurtiev, Bekir Mamutov, Emine Avamileva are accused of violating Art. 20.28 of the Administrative Code "Organization of activity of a public or religious association, in respect of which the decision to suspend its activities made."

On April 26, 2016 Supreme "court" of Crimea has recognized the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia. On September 29 Russia's Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Supreme Court of Crimea to ban the Mejlis.
