The Supreme Court of the Crimea left Ukrainian Volodymyr Dudka under arrest till September 8. This was informed by the Crimean Human Rights Group.
According to the HR defenders, judge Anatoliy Osochenko upheld the resolution of the Kyiv district court dated July 4, 2017 on prolongation of the pre-trial restraint for the Sevastopol resident in the form of holding in custody, till September 8.
Dudka wasn’t present at the session. He participated in the hearing by video communication.
Volodymyr Dudka, Dmytro Shtyblikov and Oleksii Bessarabov were arrested last November in Sevastopol. According tot he FSB’s version, all of them were members of the terrorist sabotage group of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. All the defendants in the case are held in the remand prison in Simferopol now.
Before the annexation of the Crimea, Dmytro Shtyblikov and Oleksii Bessarabov worked in the «Nomos» research center. Volodymyr Dudka is a member of the all-Ukrainian public association «Union of Defense Veterans of Ukraine», and a Captain 2nd rank of the reserve.
Previously, all the defendants in this case claimed deterioration of their health condition while staying in the remand prison. Thus, Dudka’s family members informed before that he had not received proper medical care.
