Today, on July 10, in the course of the 139th session of the court in the case of Akhtem Chiygoz, the defense was denied in summoning Crimean Mufti Emirali Ablaev as a witness. Lawyer Mykola Polozov informed this.
The lawyer noted that the defense was forced to apply for the recusal of the judges due to obvious bias regarding the result of the case, as, in the opinion of the defense, an ungrounded refusal to summon a key witness demonstrates that the board of judges knows what the results of the trial will be, and are interested in these results.
Mykola Polozov called on Crimean Mufti Emirali Ablaev to appear in court voluntarily and testify in «Chiygoz case».
Apart from this, witnesses Bezaziev and Konstantynov failed to appear in court; the court resolved that Volodymyr Konstantynov should come to the court for an interrogation this week.
The court session will be resumed after a lunch break.
