The White House’s official representative Sean Spicer has stated that the United States do not discuss the abolishment of the anti-Russian sanctions on the Crimea, as reported by Kommersant with a reference to RIA Novosti.
“As for the sanctions, we are dealing with two sets of sanctions. One of them is related to the Crimea. I believe that Permanent Representative Haley [the Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations Nikki Haley] made a very clear message on this in the United Nations – these sanctions will not be a subject for discussion unless Russia leaves the Crimea,”— the diplomat has stated.
Herein, Mr. Spicer has refrained from commenting upon the draft bill which allows lifting any sanctions only upon the approval of the United States’ Congress. “As for other sanctions, let’s not run ahead,”— the White House’s representative has said.
