10 July. The Kyiv district court of Simferopol fined Bilial Adilov, accused of having threatened police officers, for RUR 10 K.

 

Court denies defense in summoning Crimean Mufti Emirali Ablaev in «Chiygoz case»

10 July. In the course of the 139th session of the court in the case of Akhtem Chiygoz, the defense was denied in summoning Crimean Mufti Emirali Ablaev as a witness. Lawyer Mykola Polozov called on Ablaev to appear in court voluntarily and testify.

 

Ukraine-US Sea Breeze 2017 navy drills start

10 July. The Ukrainian-American navy drills Sea Breeze 2017 started in the Black Sea waterways. The theme of the drills, which were joined by the military men from 16 countries of the world, is conducting a multi-national maritime operation on security in the crisis area.

 

Siemens sues «Rostech» over shipped turbines to occupied Crimea

11 July. The German company Siemens intends to investigate the violation of the contract by the Russian company Technopromexport. The latter purchased the Siemens turbines and delivered them to the Crimea, thus having broken their promise that it wouldn’t occur.

 

Court arrests two Russian border guards

12 July. The two Russian border guards, detained at the administrative border with the occupied Crimea, were served with charges with infringement upon the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

 

Defense in «Umerov’s case» points out numerous mistakes of interpreter

12 July. The Simferopol district court held another hearing in Ilmi Umerov’s case. The simultaneous interpreting at the court hearing significantly differed from the translation provided to the FSB investigator.

 

Poroshenko claims momentum for de-occupation of Crimea

13 July. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated there were favourable conditions for the de-occupation of the Crimea, annexed by Russia. He informed this in Twitter, commenting upon the 19th Ukraine-EU summit, which is taking place in Kyiv on Thursday.
