RUR 10 billion were allocated for the development of the Crimean Tatar community in the occupied Crimea in the framework of the federal targeted program of the Russian Federation. Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov said this.
«The resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation enacts the federal targeted program of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol till 2020, aimed at integration of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol into the economic space of Russia <…> In accordance with the program, the Government of the Russian Federation approved investments in the development of the Crimea in the amount of RUR 708 billion, which is more than Eur 10 million; and RUR 10 billion, which is EUR 150 million, specially allocated for the development of the Crimean Tatar community», – Barinov said at the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
These days, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is studying the situation in this sphere in the Russian Federation, including the annexed Crimea.
