Prosecution demanded for Ruslan Zeytullaev imprisonment of 17 years, but Russian court sentenced him to 7 years in prison.

The public prosecutor of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" case appealed the decision of the court in respect of Ruslan Zeytullaev, according to Krym.Realii. The prosecution demanded for Ruslan Zeytullaev imprisonment of 17 years, but a Russian court sentenced him to 7 years in prison.

"According to the prosecutor, Ruslan Zeytullaev is the organizer of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" cell and therefore should be convicted much more severely than the other three accused. The prosecutor asked the court to 17 years in prison of strict regime for Ruslan, but the court sentenced him to 7 years in prison. Now charges scheme looks unconvincing, there are perpetrators, the organization itself, but there no organizer, so the prosecutor filed an appeal", – Refat Sayfullaev, the father of another person involved in the case "Hizb ut-Tahrir" Ferati Sayfullaev, said

Let us remind, on September 7 North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict for four Crimean Muslims accused of membership of the Islamist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir." Ruslan Zeytullaev is accused of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir" cell, got seven years in prison, Ferat Sayfullaev, Rustem Vaitov and Nuri Primov got five years.
