President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated there were favourable conditions for the de-occupation of the Crimea, annexed by Russia. He informed this in Twitter, commenting upon the 19th Ukraine-EU summit, which is taking place in Kyiv on Thursday.
«Unity and solidarity of the EU member states against the Russian aggression is the key to the restoration of peace and security in Europe. Today, all the conditions exist for the transfer from the policy of non-recognition to the active strategy of de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula», - stated in the message.
On Thursday, the 19th Ukraine-EU summit is taking place in Kyiv. On the EU side, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker take part in it. The summit is also attended by Ukrainian officials and representatives of the European Commission.
