Two of ten Crimean Tatars, detained near Marlen Mustafayev’s house, stay in one of the police departments in Simferopol. Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov has informed this in a comment for QirimInfo.
«At present moment, it is known that two people stay in Pavlenko Street [in Simferopol], in front of the Supreme Court of the Crimea. There are two police departments there: over the Simferopol and Zaliznichnyi districts. One of them has an institution where they keep administrative detainees. They [the detainees] should be provided the right to make a phone call straightaway, to inform their families on their whereabouts. Moreover, administrative detainees have a right to one phone call per day. Obviously, no one explained them this, that is why no one made any contacts, » – Kurbedinov has clarified, adding that all the other detainees seem most likely to be there as well.
Previously, the lawyer informed via Facebook that the administrative detainees didn’t contact anyone and their family members were strongly concerned.
Important to note, on February 21, the Russian hawks searched the house of Crimean Tatar Marlen Mustafayev. On that very day, the court found him guilty of violation of Part 1 of article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and sentenced him to 11 days of administrative detention. 10 more people, who witnessed Muustafayev’s detention, were detained then. They were found guilty of violation of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation [a non-sanctioned mass event] and arrested for 5 days.
