Russian telecom operators will work in Crimea only through roaming agreements with local companies "K-Telecom", "Krymtelekom" and "Sevtelekom", Novosti Kryma spreads the words of Russian "minister" of domestic policy, information and communication of Crimea Dmytro Polonskyj.
According to him, there is no chance for coming of large companies-operators of Russia to Crimean mobile market in near-term outlook.
"From the very beginning of Crimea becoming part of Russia, we have been negotiating with these companies. But they think that if they come to Crimea, they get sanctions. It may prevent their normal operation on the mainland Russia and the normal cooperation with foreign companies, which have signed roaming agreements with. I will not speak for these companies, but there is no chance for coming of large companies-operators to Crimean mobile market in near-term outlook", – Poklonskyj said.
According to him, Russian government can not force the companies to come to the peninsula.
"Connection market in Russia is controlled exclusively by commercial operators. The government can not have any influence on these companies", – Poklonskyj said.
