The majority of the US Senate members backed up the new set of sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea. This was reported by Hromadske with a reference to Reuters.
According to the media, 98 senators voted for, and 2 against the bill.
The bill was previously approved by the House of Representatives and will be now forwarded for the US President Donald Trump to sign into law.
Important to note, the EU Ambassadors agreed to expand sanctions against the Russian Federation due to the scandal related to the shipment of Siemens gas turbines.
